NCC Meeting on Tuesday 30th July 2024 - CANCELLED
Tuesday 30th of July 2024 8PM

Having received feedback on the non-pressing nature of the agenda items as well as the shortness of notice, the planned meeting for Tuesday 30th July is to be cancelled and will be replaced by a short survey. The balance of items, not covered by the survey, will be carried forward to the 26th November NCC meeting.

Agenda:

  • Discussion and approval of the 2023 NCC Annual Report (no quorum at the June NCC Meeting).
  • Agreement on the proposed NCC Budget process as arranged (no quorum at the June NCC Meeting).
  • Preaching Strategy Low Cost, Ongoing Invitation from Peter & Hilary Osborn.
  • NSW Conference Status (financials are looking fine).

As a result of an incident, the follow actions need to be discussed and have been added to the agenda::

  • Review the NCC Code Of Conduct (as adopted on 28th November 2023) with an update for Vulnerable Adults”.
    • Requirement that this document be included in all future camp and conference application / registrations processes ( i.e. accepted registrations will be on the basis that the applicants have read and agrees to follow the CofC).
    • Advice and guidance to committees if someone doesn’t comply with the CofC)..
    • Possibly develop training around the NCC Code of Conduct similar to the Child Safety Training.
  • Review of the NCC Critical Incident Management Plan ( approved 24th November 2009)
  • Wayne raised some items just prior to the Conference that “the provision of follow-up care and disciplinary action and maintaining records (some for 45 years); is it reasonable to say that on dissolution of the Conference Committee the responsibility for these things passes to the NCC and/or individual's home ecclesias?  Our previous editors/adapters haven't picked up on this at all.  I'm changing it to NCC and /or home ecclesia unless you advise otherwise.”
    • I referred this question to Ric Steel (NRST / AACE).

I hope that you will be able to attend or to arrange a delegate. Apologies for the short notice.

* Hurstville has conveyed their apologies for non-attendance but have given their agreement to the revised Budget proposal at the unofficial June meeting as well as to the acceptance of the 2023 NCC Annual Report.
